Vizio TVs have become the ultimate choice for people who need smart TVs while being on a budget. As it’s a smart TV, it needs an internet connection to work properly. This is why Vizio TV keeps disconnecting from Wi-Fi can be frustrating. For this reason, we are sharing the troubleshooting methods with you!

Vizio TV Keeps Disconnecting From WiFi

1) Wi-Fi Network

Your first instinct should be checking the Wi-Fi network. You should try using the internet on some other device (with the same network). If the internet connects with other devices, the issue is with the TV, and you have to call the Vizio customer support for it. On the contrary, if the Wi-Fi network is not working on other devices as well, you have to fix the Wi-Fi network and connection.

2) DHCP Settings

In particular, you have to toggle the DHCP settings because it can fix the Wi-Fi disconnection issue with Vizio TVs. DHCP settings are used for connecting the router and TV. For toggling the DHCP setting, you have to open the menu by pressing the menu button on the remote. Once the menu pops up, open the network tab and tap on the manual setup.

From the manual setup, click on DHCP and toggle it. Keep in mind that if DHCP is switched off, you have to toggle it on and vice versa. However, DHCP settings need to remain switched on.

3) Reboot

The reboot can fix more issues than you can imagine. While we are talking about the reboot, you have to reboot the Vizio TV, router, and modem. First of all, you have to switch off Vizio TV and then switch off the modem and router. You have to wait for 30 seconds because it’s needed to clear away the internal memory. After 30 seconds, you have to connect the TV with a power connection.

When the TV switches on, turn on the router and modem. However, you have to wait for a few minutes for the modem and router to establish a connection with the TV.

4) WPA-PSK

To begin with, this is about changing the security settings of the router to switch on WPA-PSK. This is because the Vizio TV is designed to work better with WPA-PSK. This is the encryption format and will streamline the Wi-Fi connection. You can change the encryption settings by logging into the router settings. On the contrary, if the router is provided by the internet service provider, they will need to change the security settings.

5) Wired Connection

If tweaking the security settings didn’t streamline the Wi-Fi connection, you have to opt for the wired connection. You will need to use the ethernet connection. The ethernet cable will send the internet signals directly to the TV (through the cable). As a result, the wired connection will ensure a streamlined connection and zero signal interferences.

These solutions are highly likely to fix the disconnection issues. In case the Vizio TV is still disconnected from Wi-Fi, you can try resetting the Vizio TV. However, it’s best to call Vizio customer support before you reset the TV because the reset will delete all the settings!
