Arris DG1670A Wireless Not Working
1) Restart the Router
The first and foremost troubleshooting step for all such issues is to try a restart on your router and that is going to make it work for you most of the time. So, it is pretty simple, just turn your router off, let it sit for a few seconds and then fire it up again. Boom! It will fix up all sorts of temporary bugs, errors and other possible problems that might be causing you to have the issues and you will have a seamless connectivity experience over the Arris DG1670A again.
2) Check on the Settings
A few things that you should be careful about is the optimization settings with the Wireless network. Like all the other Arris powered routers, there is an option for you in the interface to disable the Wireless connectivity that you can use if you want to use your Arris DG1670A as a plain modem. So, check on it and make sure that it is disabled for good. This is going to solve the issue for you optimally and you will not have to face any problems with the wireless connectivity once you turn it on and then restart the modem.
However, if it is already on the ON position, you can toggle it off and then on once again to be sure and then save the settings to make it work. This is optimally going to solve the issue for you. Also, you can check on the MAC filtering, DNS and VPN as well and make sure that they are disabled for the wireless network to work.
3) Update the Firmware
You will also need to check on any pending updates on the firmware that might be causing you to face these issues. To start that, login the router admin panel and click on advanced settings. Under the firmware tab, you will be able to locate update firmware option and that is going to fix up the issues for you once you use that button to update the firmware on your router. The router will automatically restart once the firmware has been updated and you will be able to use the Wireless features without any problems.
4) Reset
If nothing has worked out for you so far, you will need to reset the router to its default settings. It will cause you to lose all the data and settings on your router, but this is the best thing you can try to make if work.
