Dish is suitable for everyone in need of on-demand entertainment and people who want to record their favorite shows. However, Dish has been portraying multiple issues and one of them is Dish router not detected. So, if you are struggling with this issue, we have added simple fixes and troubleshooting methods to help you out!
Dish Router Not Detected
1) Wireless Functions
For everyone who cannot detect the Dish router, it might be because the wireless function is disabled on the device. This is the most probable cause when it comes down to the laptops that have built-in wireless adapters. In this case, you need to talk to the device manufacturer and have them provide you the steps for enabling the wireless functions.
2) Wireless Adapter
Whenever the router not detected issue is surfacing your Dish, your first instinct should be to check the wireless adapter. The wireless adapter driver must be installed on your device (laptop or TV) correctly and successfully for streamlined connection. Once you’ve installed the wireless adapter driver in your device, enable it and the router detection issue will be taken care of.
3) LED Indicator
When it comes to the LED indicators on the router or modem, it will determine the network and internet connectivity. Consequently, you need to check the LED indicator on the modem/router. That’s to say because the LED indicator of the WLAN must be blinking as it signals strong internet signals. If the LED indicator is not blinking, you should try rebooting the modem and it will fix the issue.
4) Range
If the Dish router not detected error is being portrayed on the screen, there are high chances that your computer or TV is not in the range of the network modem. With this being said, you need to move the router or modem closer to the TV or laptop for optimizing the range. Once your device is in the range of router or modem, the error will be taken care of.
5) IP Configuration
If you are using the Dish with Hopper and struggling with the router not detected issue, there are chances that the IP address configuration is not installed properly. In this case, you need to configure the IP address manually with Hopper. If you don’t know how to configure, we have added the steps that you need to follow, such as;
- First of all, open the settings and move down to the internet
- Then, open the advanced tab
- Click on recall and play option
- A new box will appear on the screen
- Choose manual from the available options
- In this setting, just add the details, such as default gateway, IP address, primary and secondary DNS server, and the subnet mask
- After adding the details, just save the changes and the issues will be resolved
6) Ethernet
If you are still unable to fix the router not detected issue, we suggest opting for the ethernet connection rather than the wireless connection. With this being said, take out the ethernet wire from the router and plug it in directly to the device. This is all you need to do for fixing the error!
WHAT!?!!?!!? I am not trying to use the anywhere app. BOTH Joeys in our house sudden;y stopped working and have the 1303 error. The internet recall and play options listed weren’t there, only limit frequency scan on/off. The main Hopper is fine but neither Joey is working and I tuned mine off about 5 am this morning and it was fine then!
