On the other hand, some people are struggling with the “unfortunately DirecTV has stopped” error whenever they open the app to watch their favorite movie. Unfortunately DirecTV Has Stopped
In case you are unable to use DirecTV, there are chances that the app is bugged. So, we suggest deleting the app from the TV and switch it off. Then, switch on the TV after two minutes and install the DirecTV app again. You can also perform this reinstallation on your smartphone if you are using one.

In case you are using the TV, it is suggested that you take out the cables from the socket. 5) App Storage
In case the app has extensive cache and storage stuck, it will adversely impact the DirecTV functionality and performance. With this being said, you can clear the app storage and cache through the settings and the app will start working again. For deleting the app cache and storage, follow the below-mentioned steps;
- Open the settings from the main menu of your phone
- Now, move down to the apps and notifications tab
- Scroll down to the DirecTV app and click on it
- Upon opening the new window, click on the storage
- There will be two options, clear cache and clear data
- Once you click on them, all the excessive files and data will be deleted and the app will start working properly
It is suggested that you clear the cache first since it deletes the saved data and the app loading will be efficient. On the other hand, when you use the clear data option, you will need to log in to the app again.
