Sagemcom is one of the infamous but pretty great brand for all sorts of communication equipment.
They are a UK based company that are offering some of the great features and services that one can expect to have on a router, or a modem that they need to use for any services including the internet, LAN, WAN or even the Wi-Fi.
There is a lot to it, and these routers also support the WPS button connectivity option for you to connect the supported devices without entering the password on them. If the button is not working, here are a few things that you need to try.
Sagemcom WPS Button Not Working
1) Set it right
First things first and you will have to make sure that you are setting it up in the right manner. It is not that hard, but you have to follow the instructions if you want to get it done. You will have to enable the WPS on your device first and once the device has WPS setup on and is looking to be connected, you will have to press the WPS button for 5 seconds until the green light flashes on the router in front of the WPS icon.
This is the signal that WPS has found a device to be connected with. You will also be seeing a popup on your phone to be connected with the router through WPS.
Be mindful that if you are pressing the WPS button for anything less than 5 seconds, it might not work as expected and you can face troubles with that.
2) Check Compatibility
Most importantly, you will have to check on the compatibility as well. While the Sagemcom routers have the WPS compatibility on them, the same cannot be said for the device that you are trying to connect. Most of the devices have the WPS compatibility, but some devices such as iPhones, iPads, and a few others don’t support WPS connectivity option for security reasons.
Hence, if it is not working out for you, you will need to check on the compatibility of the device as well, and make sure that there are no such issues that might be causing you to face the trouble with making it work. Once you get the right device that has WPS compatibility on it, you will be able to connect it on the router using the WPS button pretty easily without getting any troubles at all.
3) Enable it on the router
If you are able to find the WPS button on the router, then it certainly has the feature on it. However, there are possibilities that the router might have disabled it for security reasons.
This is done on the routers that are placed on public places to stop all sorts of unauthorized connections on the router. That is why, you will need to use the router admin panel and then enable the WPS feature on it. This way, you will be able to make it work, and that will help you in the perfect manner.
