Dish Remote Changing Both TVs
If the Dish remote is changing the channels on two TVs at one time, there are chances that you are using the shared tuner. This is because the tuner is meant to change the channels and optimize the stations. So, we suggest that you fix the shared tuner issue. Also, make sure that you have a different tuner for every TV so that the remote doesn’t cause any issue.
When it comes down to the channel changing issue with Dish remote, there are chances that the remote has been misconfigured. With this being, you need to re-pair the remote by following the below-mentioned steps;
- First of all, press the home button two times (you can also press the menu button)
- The on-screen menu will open up from which you need to choose the settings
- Click on the remote control
- Choose the device that you want to pair the remote with
- Tap on the pairing wizard option
- The wizard will share the prompts that you need to follow
- Now, test the codes
- And done, the pairing will be complete!
3) Dual Mode
Obviously, you would be using the receiver, and if the Dish remote changes the channels on both TVs, there are chances that the receiver has been set on the dual-mode. To check this issue, you can open the door of the receiver and press the mode key. If the TVs show the same thing after pressing the mode button, the dual-mode is not your issue.
In this method, you need to check the modulation on the TVs. In this case, switch on TV number two, tune in the channel 73 or 62 and if it’s airing the same content as TV number one, switch on TV number one. On the TV one, open the system setup from the menu, click on installation, and tap on the modulation. With this being said, you need to ensure that modulation should be similar on TVs.
5) RCA Cables
For people who are still struggling with the issue, you need to check the RCA Cables on the receiver. These RCA Cables are colored cables. With this being said, you need to make sure that RCA Cables are plugged into the right ports (yes, these must be plugged into the TV1 ports) and it will probably make the issue go away.
6) SAT Settings
SAT setting is the automatic tuning that empowers the users to program the remote control that helps them tune the right channels. With this being said, you need to make sure that the SAT settings on the TV are switched on. So, best of luck!
