With the increasing demand for high-quality and feature-rich modems, various brands have joined the field by offering their own modems. However, Zoom remains one of the most promising brands for modems and routers, but various users have complained about Zoom modem US light blinking, and we are sharing the troubleshooting guide!
Zoom Modem US Light Blinking
The US light on the Zoom modem is green, and when it starts blinking, it means that the modem is trying to look for upstream channels to establish a connection. On the other hand, if this light is blinking blue, it means that the modem is synced to over two to three channels on the upstream channels. In case the internet connection is impacted while the modem is trying to establish a connection, we are sharing the solutions!
When it comes down to the blinking light, it tends to become solid after a few minutes (usually, it’s two minutes). On the other hand, if the modem is not connecting to the upstream channels and keeps trying, there are high chances that there is a service outage. For the most part, the service outage is associated with the internet service provider. You need to call your internet service provider and ask when the internet servers will be up and running. Once the backend servers are restored, the blinking light is likely to become solid.
2. Coaxial Cable
A coaxial cable is essential for connecting the LAN line to the modem. It simply means that it can directly influence the internet connection. So, when the coaxial cable is not properly connected, the signals won’t pass through, and the modem will keep searching for the upstream channels. To fix the coaxial cables, you need to check the cables and make sure they are in intact form – there must be no internal or external damage to the cables. The internal functionality of the coaxial cable can be checked with the help of an ohmmeter as it determines the continuity.
On the other hand, if the coaxial cable is not damaged, you need to check the plugging. This is because a loose coaxial cable can impact the connectivity. So, take out the coaxial cable and make sure they are properly plugged in. In fact, you could insert the coaxial cable and twist it a bit to make sure it’s not loose. Keep in mind that this is important because a loose cable can result in low cable signals, which is the coaxial cables must be optimized.
The modem needs to work properly to make sure there are no issues with the internet connectivity. For instance, if you have been using your Zoom modem for a long time, there are chances that the internal components of the modem are damaged with constant use. For this reason, if you have tried to fix the coaxial cables but the lights won’t stop blinking, you should get the modem checked for hardware issues.
In case there are no hardware errors associated with the Zoom modem, there are high chances that a firmware update is going on. So, try to wait for a few minutes, and if it’s a firmware update, it will be completed within a few minutes.
