For some businesses having a dedicated business T1 line could be their only hope of ever getting good, decent internet speeds across their entire office network. This is especially for those businesses which are entirely dependent upon their internet connection for business.

However the biggest problem with a dedicated business T1 connection is the cost. Many times the cost is just too high especially for a business that can do without it. So before you get a dedicated business T1 connection you first need to determine if you really need such a high speed connection and whether or not the expense is really worth it.

You need to be able to check to see if your business does extensive internet activity. Do employees in your organization need to exchange large file, use the fax machine and also download large files all at once. These are though questions but they need to be answered in order to access if you really need a business T1 connection in your organization. You also need to ask yourself and your managers if having a T1 line will really increase the efficiency of the work done which in turn will increase profitability.

It is usually an incorrect notion when people by and large think that only large organizations need a T1 connection. Yes in the majority of cases this is true but there are many medium businesses that heavily rely on the internet which will also benefit greatly if they had a business T1 connection. Many times these medium businesses do lots of telecommuting as well as teleconferences and so having a T1 connection makes a world of a difference.

Having a good and reliable T1 connection will greatly increase your business’s productivity when it comes to things such as sending, receiving large files as well as teleconferencing etc. Many medium to large businesses need to focus on this aspect of their business in order to grow. This is where the need for a much faster and reliable internet connection lies. When you boost productivity you are also increasing your customer satisfaction and reducing frustration levels in your employees who need to deal with a slow internet every day.

When you apply for a business T1 connection the time it takes to install it is usually around 45 days. This time can be used in order to make your switch to a faster connection easier. You can speak to your service provider and ask them about various packages which will save you money.

Many times a good T1 connection package will help you bypass your local phone company so make sure that you ask if this is the case because if it is you can cancel your phone subscription which will make paying for your business T1 easier. You should also ask them about various purchases you will need to make such as modems and various routers.

By doing this you eliminate the shock factor when you get your first months bill. This also helps your business make a smooth transition to a High Speed T1 Line.
