The internet and T1 line providers work together in providing seamless connectivity for many companies. This connection enables faster speeds of sending and receiving internet service, as well as phone lines capable of being switched from phone lines to data lines and vice verse.

Any company that has at least 500 employees can benefit from a T1. It is dedicated to your company’s personal communication needs, versus sharing phone lines with other commercial businesses. A provider partners with a telephone company such as Qwest, or MCI. Whichever jurisdiction the company needing service is in, will be the deciding factor of which telephone company will maintain the T1.

There are different types of T1′s, just like there are different company needs. If a company only has phone lines, without internet service, they would only need a voice T1. If they used long distance more than local calls, they would choose a long distance voice over a local voice, as it would be the most cost effective in lowering long distance rates, but at the same time raising local rates.

The same holds true if the company used more local calls than long distance, the rates for long distance would be higher, but, the local calls would be free. Sounds twisted, but they do make a profit. Companies really save when they use both phone and internet service. The T1 that is best is the Integrated T1.

It has the capacity to be switched from a phone line or data line according to business needs. With twenty-four lines, all could be used for internet, or phone, with any variation of either. For example, two lines can be for phone, and the other twenty-two for internet. This would also result in a very fast speed, as the more lines used for internet, automatically increases the speed by doubling it per line used.

Carriers are companies that specialize in communication. Their customers are the companies like hotel chains, etc… Who depend on communicating with a wide audience quickly and reliably, in making reservations, either by phone or online. Busy phones or websites are not very cost effective for these types of businesses.

The customers of T1 providers are “carriers.” T1 companies are AT&T, Bellsouth, Speakeasy, and New Edge Networks. There are many more providers keeping the internet highways and phone lines running fast and smooth. It is another advance in technology making it easier and more convenient for companies to thrive.

T1′s can be used for whatever purpose a company deems. Providers or carriers really are not concerned with how they are used. Carriers will help the company get set up with the T1 provider, and the T1 provider will maintain the lines efficiently. For any problems, both the carrier and provider will troubleshoot for a remedy.

Internet and T1 line providers are all about connectivity and communication. They work hand in hand to provide optimum service to everyone who uses a phone or computer in accessing the internet. Companies are saving money while reaching a lot more customers with their services by getting a T1.
